Participant Information

The following information is for teams participating in or hoping to participate in the Championships. 

Registration & Advancement

 

 

 

All teams wishing to qualify for the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships must register for their respective sectional event by 11:59 p.m. ET on Oct. 1.

The number of teams advancing to the 2026 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will be published here after the Oct. 1 deadline. 

​

All teams advancing to the Championships will receive detailed advancement information on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026. This will include information about purchasing practice ice, finalizing housing assignments, and more. A number of actionable items will be required of advancing teams. The deadline for these items will be Friday, Jan. 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Housing

U.S. Figure Skating has partnered with Event Connect to manage housing for the Championships. Once again housing will be managed with a request and placement process. All teams participating in the Championships are required to request and book housing through the Event Connect portal via the process outlined in the Hotel Process & Policy document linked below. Any team found to have booked housing outside of this designated process will be assessed a $1,000/team penalty to be paid prior to checking in to the competition.

Practice Ice

All teams will receive one Official Practice Ice (OPI ) session per competition segment on the competition surface. There is no charge for OPI at the Championships.

Additional ice has been reserved at nearby facilities for Unofficial Practice Ice (UPI). Teams will be able to request UPI after advancement via EMS and the Mandatory Team Form. The deadline for purchasing UPI and submitting scheduling requests through the Mandatory Form is Friday, Jan. 30. A UPI schedule will be released no later than Friday, Feb. 6.
